THE COACH

Iain Bowman is a professionally accredited Level 2 Cycling Coach who draws on his experience gained through a long career of successfully coaching athletes including local riders and State Teams through to an Australian Olympian.

Iain was the Coaching Director with Cycling Queensland whose responsibilities included training Level 1 Coaches.

Iain is a Registered Counsellor who also specialises in coaching women, and through his professional qualifications offers his athletes a unique insight in to the psychology of training and competition.

Iain is a proud member of the Kangaroo Point Cycling Club's Coaching and Mentoring Team.

THE MENTOR

Natalie Langer is a veterinarian and enthusiastic cyclist.  She loves training, racing and generally encouraging others to try cycling for themselves.

Natalie is also very passionate about the Amy Gillett Foundation and cycling safety.

Natalie currently races Elite A, and has ridden for NRS teams in the past including Bundaberg Sugar, as well as for QSM Racing.

Natalie is a proud member of the Kangaroo Point Cycling Club's Coaching and Mentoring Team.

Kangaroo Point Cycling Club is pleased to deliver a fully inclusive 12 week training program for female members looking to race the upperlimb.com Cunningham Classic in 2014.

If you've ever watched the race and thought "I would like to give that a go", this is a great way to test the waters with the support of your Club, a great group of mates and our experienced and knowledgeable Coach and Mentors.

Delivered by Assistant Club Coach Iain Bowman with support from Club Mentor Natalie Langer, participants will receive:

  • Coaching from a professionally accredited cycling Coach
  • An individually tailored training program
  • Regular contact with the Coach to review progress and adjust your training plan
  • Regular group rides with other participants
  • Skills advice and development
  • A dedicated mentor to support you along the way!

The Training Program commences on Saturday the 10th of May and runs for 12 weeks.

After completing the program we expect that you will have the strength, ability, skills and confidence to race the upperlimb.com Cunningham Classic in a Women's specific grade.

The Women's Only Training Program is free and available exclusively to members of the Kangaroo Point Cycling Club.
